Sometimes, a cocktail serves as a bartender’s secret handshake. A nod to Enzo Errico’s original Red Hook, Simó’s Italian-American riff toasts to his time in Brooklyn’s brownstones.

Ingredients

2 ounces Rittenhouse
Straight Rye Whisky
½ ounce Italian Vermouth
½ ounce Amaro
1 scant teaspoon
Maraschino Liqueur
1 Lemon Twist

Bartender's Notes

Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir, and strain into a cocktail glass. Express a lemon twist over the top of the drink and discard the peel.
