Sometimes an Old Fashioned needs a kick of spice. Try one with Rittenhouse Rye for dark chocolate notes and a round, rich finish.

Ingredients

2 ounces Rittenhouse
Straight Rye Whisky
¼ ounce Simple Syrup
3 dashes of Bitters
1 Orange Swath (Garnish)
1 Brandied Cherry
(Optional Garnish)

Bartender's Notes

In a mixing glass, add bitters, simple syrup, Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whisky and ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain cocktail over ice in a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a swath of orange, and if you prefer, a brandied cherry.
